Anchorage City Tour with Taste of Wild Smoked Salmon & Reindeer Sausage - Itinerary:
1. Guest Arrival:
We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes early. This allows you to get checked in, use the restroom and provides you with the opportunity to purchase food or beverages from our affiliated café Urban Wilderness Alaskan Fare Coffee Tea & Energy.
Location: Alaska's Finest Tours and Adventures, 509 W 3rd Ave
Upon arrival, check in with our sales associate inside the Sales Office and Café.
2. 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 3:00 PM - Guest Pickup
3. Ulu Factory
Take a tour of the factory to see how ULU knives are made, see and ancient knives on display, and purchase your own ulu.
4. Ship Creek
One of the only places in the world where you can watch combat fishing. Salmon runs occur from early June to mid-July.
5. Earthquake park
In 1964 the world's 2nd largest earthquake shook this region, causing an entire neighborhood to slide into the ocean. Today the rolling hills of this 164-acre park serves as a visual reminder of the 9.2 earthquake.
6. Lake Hood
Open to the public, Lake Hood is the world's busiest seaplane base, handling an average of 190 flights per day. Located on Lake Hood and Spenard, The base operates year round, even in the winter when the surface of the frozen lake is maintained for ski-equipped airplanes.
7. Alaska Sausage & Seafood
Sample many of the different types of smoked salmon and reindeer sausage. Closed on Sundays.
8. Alaska Wild Berry Products
Home to the world's largest chocolate waterfall. Browse the giftshop's jams, jellies, salmon products, and chocolates, all made in-house from locally sourced ingredients.
9. Turnagain arm
Travel down the one of the most scenic routes Anchorage has to offer, passing Potter Marsh and pulling over at Falls Creek to take in.

Meeting Location: The tour will depart from the Visitor’s Log Cabin located at 509 W 3rd Avenue, Anchorage, AK. Check-in Process: Upon arrival, check in with the guide who will have your reservation details. Please have your confirmation email or booking reference ready for a quick check-in. Late Arrivals: If you’re running late, please contact us as soon as possible. However, if you miss the scheduled departure, we cannot guarantee a spot on the tour, and no refunds will be issued. Arriving early ensures you have enough time to settle in and enjoy the start of your Alaskan adventure without any stress!
