Highlights
Enjoy a once in a lifetime Glacier Plunge in the summer months! Approximately mid May through mid September we allow guests to take a glacier plunge at no additional cost. Come prepared with a bathing suit underneath your clothing, bring extra clothes or dare to go all natural in the Alaskan wilderness! All of our helicopters are equipped with towels, throw ropes and trained pilots. Please let us know at check in if you plan on plunging. Age, health and swimming strength play a role in the ability to plunge.

- Here at Outbound we allow our guest to participate in the polar plunge out on the glacier! In the summer months the famous blue pools form out on the surface of the Knik. Guest have the opportunity to do a one in a lifetime plunge. All helicopters are equipped with towels, throw rope, ice screw, and yoga mat to help ease yourself out of the water. Feel free to bring a change of clothes, bathing suits or go in the buff. We only require you to keep your socks on to avoid micro cuts on your feet. If you are thinking about the polar plunge please let us know at time of check in.
Polar plunge is only open in the summer months (mid May-mid September) when pools are plentiful. In winter months the pools drain or freeze. All pilots have been WFA and crevasse rescue trained.
