Itinerary

1. Guest Pickup:

Your day begins with a convenient pickup from the Downtown Anchorage Visitors Center at 4:45 AM. Your guide will brief you on the exciting day ahead.

2. Scenic Drive to Matanuska Glacier:

After pickup, enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive through the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, surrounded by stunning mountain ranges and rolling hills bathed in the early morning light.

3. Arrive at Matanuska Glacier:

Upon arrival, your guide will provide you with necessary safety gear and a briefing on the hike ahead.

4. Sunrise Glacier Hike:

Set out for your guided hike across the glacier, exploring crevasses, ice caves, and frozen formations while soaking in the morning’s spectacular colors reflecting off the ice.

5. Return to Anchorage:

After an unforgettable morning of glacier exploration, relax on the return journey to Anchorage, with a scheduled arrival around 12:30 PM.

Address: Downtown Anchorage Visitors Center, 546 W 4th Ave, Anchorage, AK Where to Park: The best place to park is the garage between “A” and “C” Street, across from the Downtown Avis. This ensures you won’t get a ticket if there’s any delay in the return. If Your Driver is Late: Please text us if your driver hasn’t arrived by the scheduled time, rather than calling. This helps avoid delays. Restroom Info: Restrooms will not be available for about an hour after boarding, so please use the facilities beforehand.
